Dell introduced two gaming laptops from the Alienware family, the M16, and M18 both having beefy internals.
Both units are similar in specifications and they only differ in screen sizes. Obviously, the M18 gets 18 inches while the M16 got 16-inch.
The star of the night will be Intel's latest 13th Gen Core i9 processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU combo. The brand says there's also a Red team variant (AMD) for both CPU and GPU but has yet to share details about it.
All of these internals are packed inside a slimmer body which Dell calls the "new Legend design" and comes with the aluminum build for the top and bottom.
For their display hardware, you can choose a QHD+ resolution with 165Hz or FHD+ resolution but with a higher 480Hz refresh rate. So it's up to the gamer's preference. Also, both come with a 3ms response time, 300 nits peak brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and ComfortView Plus feature for your eyecare.
Dell also paired the CPU and GPU with up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and up to 9TB SSD storage. If you still want to upgrade that, there's a two user-replaceable DDR5 SO-DIM slots included.
Powering the laptops will be a huge 97WHr battery and can be charged using a 330W power brick.
The two laptops have a 720p webcam with IR sensors for either video conference or streaming.
Other features noted are the option for two full-sized keyboards—Perkey AlienFX backlit or the CherryMX ultra-low profile mechanical backlit keyboard.
The brand also takes pride in the cooling system as it has an Element 31 thermal interface that consists of 7 heat pipes, expanded vapor chambers, and 4 ultra-thin fans to keep the temperatures in check.
While Dell did not say about the OS, it will likely be the latest gen of Windows while the rest of the details like connectivity and ports aren't revealed as well. More information should come to light soon.
